FORT WHIPPLE

In partnership with Gorman & Company, U.S.VETS — Prescott was selected to transform the VA Fort Whipple campus. This historic site was originally founded as home to the U.S. Army in 1863 and Arizona’s capital prior to the founding of Prescott. This project will honor the history of the land by building affordable supportive housing units for senior, homeless, and at-risk veterans in Northern Arizona. Six houses that served as officers’ quarters will be renovated for occupancy, and new housing developments will be built on 3 acres of land in the southwestern portion of the campus.

In collaboration with the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare system, U.S.VETS — Prescott will also provide wraparound services to the Fort Whipple residents including workforce development, case management, counseling and therapeutic services, and health care both on site and through U.S.VETS — Prescott’s Liberty Pointe campus.
