Through emergency and shelter beds, U.S.VETS provides low-barrier access to ensure that veterans and their families have a safe place to stay while working on permanent housing placement. Locations offering emergency housing: Long Beach, Inland Empire, Wai’anae, and Barber’s Point.

U.S.VETS provides veterans with transitional housing programs as a stepping stone to permanent supportive housing or independent living. Our residential sites offer housing in a supportive, therapeutic community, with wraparound care including career, mental health and wellness, and case management services to help veterans address the challenges of transition from military life into the civilian community. Locations offering Transitional Housing: Long Beach, Barber’s Point, Wai’anae, Inglewood, Inland Empire, Phoenix, Prescott, Houston, Las Vegas, and Washington, D.C.

Veterans who are economically self-sufficient and enjoy living in a community with fellow veterans can lease housing on U.S.VETS campuses. Supports and amenities may include rental assistance, sobriety support, individual and group counseling, peer support and job assistance. Locations offering permanent housing: Phoenix, Houston, Inland Empire, Las Vegas, Barber’s Point, Long Beach, Inglewood, Prescott and Washington, D.C.

U.S.VETS is committed to expanding affordable housing for veterans and their families. In 2017, U.S.VETS launched a housing department to build emergency, transitional, and permanent supportive housing to meet the needs of homeless and at-risk veterans across the country. These new developments will help U.S.VETS provide even more housing and services to ensure that no veteran ever spends a night on the street.
