U.S.VETS — Inglewood is the inaugural U.S.VETS site. It opened in 1993 with only five clients. Today the location operates over 600 beds of transitional and permanent housing. Employment services are provided through a workforce program that helps over 100 veterans return to employment each year. Additionally, over 300 veteran family households are provided rapid re-housing and homeless prevention services.
Veterans seeking housing should contact Kevin Kincey to inquire about Crisis Housing for emergency housing, Bridge Housing for temporary housing designed to facilitate placement into permanent housing, or our Supportive Services for Veteran Families program which assists low-income families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless find safe and affordable transitional or permanent housing.
Veterans in need of employment assistance or career counseling should contact Dawnita B. Montgomery to inquire about our career counseling services. The program is designed to help veterans translate their military experience into civilian employment opportunities.
U.S.VETS — Inglewood provides wraparound services structured to fit the needs of each person who needs them. Those services include but are not limited to case management and aftercare services. Please contact us if you have questions about these services.
Across Los Angeles County, thousands of homeless veterans live in the streets. U.S. VETS works to get every veteran off the street and into permanent housing. Watch this Huffington Post feature.
