HERE AT OUR VENTURA LOCATION

Ventura Springs is a new housing community with 122 apartments for local veterans and their families who may have a disability, experienced homelessness, or have economic challenges that have made it difficult to afford quality housing. The property is now accepting applications. The 10-acre site developed by A Community of Friends and U.S.VETS is the first supportive housing development for veterans in Ventura. The 11 residential buildings are surrounded by vibrant courtyards in a campus-like setting intended to create a traditional, family-oriented neighborhood that encourages healthy living and a sense of belonging through outdoor gathering spaces, recreational areas and a community garden.

SERVICES

U.S.VETS will provide comprehensive wraparound services onsite, including social, clinical and programmatic, such as career development, mental health counseling and case management.

AMENITIES

The 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartment homes include a refrigerator, stove, garbage disposal and dishwasher (select units) and are equipped with central air and heat, dual-pane windows and cable hook-ups. Onsite parking is also available. The pedestrian-friendly property also features common-area amenities including laundry facilities, gym, business center, playground, community garden, courtyard, walking trails and picnic areas.
