MISSION, VISION, and SERVICES
MISSION
The Veterans Collective is deeply committed to the successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of service-enriched housing that promotes recovery, wellness and a more hopeful future.
VISION
A vibrant, cohesive and supportive residential neighborhood for homeless and at-risk veterans and their families on the North Campus of the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs campus. In keeping with the spirit of the original 1888 conveyance and the master plan, the West Los Angeles Community Plan envisions a veteran-serving neighborhood that will provide a space for collective impact and collaboration between TVC, VA staff, local stakeholders and veteran community partners.
SERVICES
U.S.VETS’ role in the collective is to provide the case management and supportive services required of independent living. These services designed to promote housing stability can include social, health, educational, income and employment assistance and benefits.
For veterans seeking housing on the West LA VA campus, resident leasing is now open. Referrals can be made through the VA Transitional Housing, SSVF and HUD/VASH programs, veterans’ current HUD/VASH case managers or the West LA VA Welcome Center at Building 257 on the North Campus. The VA has established a call center number available at (310) 268-3350 from 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday for same-day access to emergency and temporary housing.

INSPIRED BY
JUDGE HARRY PREGERSON
The iconic Judge Harry Pregerson used the bench and his influence to support the needs of our community’s most vulnerable, including people experiencing homelessness and our veterans. The World War II veteran was the founder of U.S.VETS and facilitated the creation of Century Housing Corporation. His legacy lives on in the work of our two organizations.
